They will learn what to expect at a call back, be introduced to cold readings and learn audition etiquette. All students will participate in a mock audition. This class will enable students to prepare a monologue that they can use on any professional audition. On-Camera Acting: Students will be taped on camera performing their monologues and or scenes. Students will be able to see their work, get feedback from instructors and participate in a second taping before going on to tape scenes from real TV scripts. Commercial: Students will learn the proper way to slate and the importance of personality interviewing. They will also learn how to read commercial scripts, how to think quickly on their feet and how to read from cue cards. All students will act on camera using real commercial scripts. The culmination of this class will be a real audition where several students will be cast to shoot two commercials for the Kiddie Kuts Salon & Spa for Kids. The Webisode: This is the highlight of the six week course. Students will audition for a four part webisode that will air on-line. Each episode will be 3 minutes and 30 seconds in length. Those students that are cast will be able to use the footage for their individual acting reels. The last two weeks of the camp will be devoted to production of the series tentatively titled, Super Sleuths. |
