B4H CLASS DESCRIPTIONS This class will introduce you to all that Blueprint has to offer and more. Learn the basics, and how to move forward after your career begins. Whether you have an agent and are already working, or are at the beginning of your career - get started on the right foot, and you will move ahead faster than you think!
ADVANCED ACTING FOUNDATIONS (2 WEEKS) (Foundations class is prerequisite) This class is for those actors who have agents and are working. You will learn how to take your career to the next level. Learn how to get on your agent's A-List of talent. How to network effectively. Learn the best way to impress casting Directors, how to follow-up without being a pest, when it is appropriate to bring gifts. There are a limited number of Casting Directors in town-- Know how to make them all fans of yours--- the quickest, easiest and most fun way possible! If you are serious about being at the TOP of the actors in Atlanta, this class will show you how.
ADVANCED ACTING (2 WEEKS)
(Must have taken Scene Study AND Audition Technique, as pre-requisites) This class is for Advanced actors only, with professional credits. Integrate Audition Technique and Scene Study skills into one, while working on EMOTIONAL scenes. Learn how to bring authentic emotion to your auditions and work, when needed. How to get the emotion you need, every single time, while keeping it real. How to keep your scenes fresh, when doing them repeatedly for film takes, or multiple performances for a play. Learn how professional actors are able to cry on cue, and add complex layers to their work. Learn to think thoughts different from the lines, while still connecting with your partner and saying the lines as written. *Must have Instructor permission for this class.
ACTING CLASS FOR KIDS (Age 10-15) EVERY SATURDAY 10AM-12PM The basic skills required to be an actor. We will answer questions about the business and how to get started. If you are thinking that acting might be for you, you will know after you take this class with us! For kids who have an agent, as well as those wanting to get one. Make sure you get started in the right way--- it will make all the difference!
COMMERCIAL ACTING (SATURDAY - SEE CALENDAR) Learn how to audition for commercials, and what to expect when you do. You will use real commercial copy, as well as some of the common “improv” exercises that are commonly used in professional commercial auditions. You will learn all the ‘rules’ to follow, to ensure that you are ready to book those big commercial gigs! After learning all of these aspects during the first day, you will be filming a real commercial on the second day.
ADVANCED COMMERCIAL WORKSHOP (SATURDAY - SEE CALENDAR) Take your audition skills to the next level! Learn to audition and to work like a pro. How to perfect those more difficult auditions -- rules of commercial improvisation, when to stay on the script and when to add your own take, what to wear to pop on camera, and much more. This class includes a filmed copy of your audition sent to you afterwards.
CREATING A CHARACTER What do you do when you get an audition for a character that is not you? Or is very different from you? Maybe you are asked to play a real-life person. A character that has come from a different place, lived a different life, maybe has a physical difference, or accent. How do you bring that character to life in an authentic way? How do you BECOME the character so fully that they do not know you are 'acting'? Johnny Depp does it. Meryl Streep does it. Even Sandra Bullock, Denzel Washington, and Julia Roberts. Now you can, too!
Learn how to show up so fully prepared that you bring that character to life. It starts with you. (This class is for advanced actors, who have already mastered the art of bringing themselves to the role. This is the next step.)
GET YOUR AGENT! 4 WEEKS This 4-week class will take you through every step of getting an agent. Not just any agent-- but the BEST agent for you! We will cover headshots, resumes, monologues, cold reading, as well as how to handle the meeting and following up. Mock meetings will give you the confidence you need. After this class, you will be completely prepared to land the best agent for you! AUDITION TECHNIQUE (ONGOING CLASS - TUES. 7:30-9:30PM AND THURS. 12-2PM) Everything you need to know to nail the job! For Beginning and Advanced actors - anyone who is going on auditions, at any level. This is an on-camera, audition technique that will give you that last piece of the puzzle, that will get you a job. We will cover all aspects of the audition process: how to learn your lines, develop your character and the scene, handle yourself in an audition, and handle the camera in a professional way.
MARKETING CLASS (ONGOING CLASS - MON. 7:30-9:30PM) An ongoing professional Career Development Group for Actors seeking a life, and a living, in Acting. Each week will be a different lesson, covering a component needed for the consummate Actor: Photos, Image Work, Marketing, handling Meetings with Agents, Producers and Directors, as well as ongoing Career Development. You will get individualized attention, discussing exactly where you are in your career each week, and how to get to the next level of success. Each week will bring you personal goals and support, for the upcoming week. We will set goals together, support you through the disappointments, and celebrate successes as they happen! This is for all actors seeking a Professional Career-- from those who want to get a SAG card, to those wanting to prepare for their next Press Conference.
MONOLOGUES WORKSHOP (SATURDAY - SEE CALENDAR) Every actor should have a monologue that demonstrates to Agents and Casting Directors the best way to cast them. It needs to show A LOT more than you are “a good actor”. Your monologue is your calling card! It is the foundation of your career. Let us help you find the perfect piece, to excite Casting Directors, Agents and Producers. SCENE STUDY WORSKHOP (SATURDAY- SEE CALENDAR) Do you know how to show up on the set, fully prepared? Learn how to understand a scene, make choices, know what the director is looking for, and find an easy way to memorize your lines. By the end of class you will be able to put up a professional level scene, with your lines memorized, in under one day!
AUDITIONING FOR KIDS (10-15) SATURDAY WORKSHOP - SEE CALENDAR Same description as adult class, just geared toward kids.
MASTER CLASS 4 WEEKS ***Must audition or have instructor permission to take this class An advanced class for advanced actors. We will cover - dealing with your agent in the best possible way, how to take your career to the next level, what "STAR QUALITY" is and how to have it (no, it is not about how you look!). Also, creating a character that is different from you, handling emotional scenes, how to handle the set and be prepared to work on films and tv sets as a professional. It's a small industry-- make every job lead to more.
SHOWCASE YOUR TALENT! 4 WEEKS ***Guests, professionally directed, with a cocktail hour provided. 3 Preparation classes, and a Dress Rehearsal will get you 100% prepared to wow them! You will get the right scenes and monologues, that will show you in the best light, to the Agents and Casting Directors, and other Industry Professionals who will be at the final showcase. You will understand your "type", and receive the coaching and direction you need, for your performance to showcase you, as the star you are! COMMUNITY CLASS - LAST FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH This $20 class is available to anyone, at any time. It is a drop in class, and will cover all aspects of the business, month by month. Topics will be announced on the website one week before. They include lessons in getting great headshots, putting together a marketing package, dressing for on camera, preparing for agent meetings, handling the room in an audition, and many more. Demo Reel Workshop 3 WEEKS (add Scene Study Class for only $75) Do you have a great demo reel? If not, you will now! The first part of the class will help you find the exact right scenes for you, and the "types" you play. In addition, you will learn how to cut together the demo reel, in the way that benefits you the most. You will have a "blueprint" of exactly what you need for the ideal demo reel. You have 2 weeks to prepare, rehearse with your scene partner, get your props together, etc. Then on week 3, we come back together and professionally shoot your demo reel! You will leave with everything you need for the demo reel that will get your career going! |
